Holy S***!! That's exactly how I felt when I finished the book at 3 this morning. My eyes were all puffy from crying, I had a box of used tissue sitting beside me. I have all books by this author so I'm a huge fan and im familiar with her writing. I have to admit this was way different from the other books in this series. I mean obviously I still loved it because it still got 5 stars but there were a few things I wasn't very fond of. First yes it's an amazingly emotional story but most of the book Haven is with someone else and when her and Jude are together in the book it's not very much story of them. Second, some of the story jumped around which Isnt like lola. Sometimes I was left wondering which day they were on because it would skip from one scene to the next without the smoothness it usually has. I hate to write anything negative about a book because I know the author works so hard but those are things I just couldn't overlook. Now the good stuff.....I read A LOT and I can count on one hand how many books have just gutted me and this is one of them. I was so glad that the parts that make you cry like a baby were after I had already sent everyone to bed or else my family probably would've commited me to a loony bin. I seriously never cried so hard over a book. And honestly that's not something I really enjoy because I know if a book makes me cry I'm gonna have a book hangover for awhile and sure enough I wake up today and don't wanna read anything else, can't think of anything else, just feels like a blah day. This story has been on my mind all day and it's just stuck there. So if that's what was intended from the author then she succeeded. I really don't know how to explain this book without giving anything away so I'll just say:It's a beautiful, tragic, emotional, love story........if your looking for a book that makes you feel, I mean REALLY makes you feel then this is the story for you. It's not all sad. There is anger, hurt, happiness, and sadness. It's literally a roller coaster and I loved every minute.

Really disappointed with the end of this series. There are a lot of typos and name changing mistakes in this book. I really enjoyed the witty banter in the first two books but this one was a sad comparison with very little background on the main H/h characters. I finished this book only because I paid 3.99 for it. I think this story was more like a rough draft and could have been done much better if it had been edited and fleshed out more.
This book was so well written and edited. It is very emotional! Read/listen where you are comfortable crying. This is the 3rd book of this series and I never expected this story, so I was listening at work I had to hide out until I could get the tears, and red nose back under control. I think this story is one that you will not easily forget. These characters have so much depth, and the storyline is unbelievable! Loved the audio option.
Fantastic.....I'm going to try and do this review without spoilers. To those reviews that didn't give this a five star rating, I'm trying to figure out what book you read. This was a completely different scenario than the first two books. We were all warned. This is what you call a beautiful UGLY cry book. Jude was everything you thought he would be, but better. Dylan was one of the most lovable BB I've ever read about. Haven had the best seat in the house. To feel that kind of love from not just one but two guys. Though it wasn't filled with the sarcastic humor that the first two books were, it fit perfectly. I'm going to miss these guys. Looking forward to a re-read of the entire series soon. Another great job Lola Stark. Keep them coming.....
The build up to this book was overwhelming. The delayed release date, the multiple reminders that this book was the series finale and then the author warning us that we may not like the finished product left me conflicted before I even purchased this story.
Haven and Jude's story is one that I looked forward to the most out of this series. After reading it, I am dissatisfied. This book did not fulfill the potential their story had. Often times, I felt the book was rushed with no clear idea of the actual timespan between events. I don't mind when a HEA isn't automatic, but with the way Haven hopped from life event to event, I'm not sure that she was mature enough to know what love is. There were also times in Jude and Haven's back story that I wondered, "was I supposed to know that?" Jude ended up being nothing like I had hoped he be.
The premise had good bones and the writing is good, however this story wasnt given the time that characters deserved.
Okay, so yeah, I thought this was a great read, don't kill me!! I get what a lot of people are complaining about. "The story took a complete 180 turn" "I was not expecting that." "Why did that happen?" "Why did it have to end like that??" blah, blah, blah!! I get it, I truly do. We wait months for books to be released and then they are not what we were expecting, it has happened to me. But even though this book took a turn I was not expecting, it didn't mean it was't great. Was it my favorite from the series?? No, but I thought it was still great.
This is not your typical Lola Stark story. There is so much heartbreak, struggles, secrets, but we also get a beautiful love story. This book was unexpected. The story is emotional, raw, and real. It's what real life is about, we don't always get what we want. Life is unfair and at the same time we each get what we need to not only learn lessons, but to make us stronger human beings. This is a story about finding love, losing love, thinking you don't deserve love, finding a love so pure you can breathe from it, losing more and then gaining a lot more. Is it fair?? NO!! But so is life. We don't all get HEAs, and some of us find it where we least expect it.
Do I recommend this book?? Yes!! But don't go in blind thinking is like the rest of the series, cause it's not. But don't make an opinion of it without reading it. Give this story a chance!! <3
